Since its foundation, the group's main lineup consists of lead vocalist Gary LeVox, bass guitarist Jay DeMarcus, and guitarist Joe Don Rooney. Rascal Flatts is the winner of the Country Music Television award of best song for 2007 with "What Hurts the Most".
